The Training Kit

The Training Kit includes everything you need to begin this life-changing children’s ministry program. You simply need 5 actors; we even help you recruit them! The Training Kit consists of a Director’s Guide, packed with over 30 years of administrative wisdom, and a Training DVD which includes 4 movies:

• • • The “Training Kit Movie” – A 25-minute training workshop, using scenes from the skit to teach the basics of SKITuations and drama techniques. 
    • The “Full-length Skit Movie” – A 28-minute movie showing a complete skit with freezes and activities. 
    • The “SKITuations Library Tour” – A 3-minute look at the themes of our 100 skits compiled in 14 volumes. 
    • The “SKITuations Recruiting Trailer” – A 2-minute “commercial” for recruiting the SKITuations actors in the adult  or youth service.

Volume 1 – “Becoming A Christian”

In 5 DOWNLOADABLE Skit Packages, the children experience the basics of Christianity. They are challenged to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love their neighbors as they love themselves. The character “Harvey” becomes a Christian, and begins his personal journey with Jesus.

Volume 2 – “Growing Up With God”

In 5 DOWNLOADABLE Skit Packages, the character “Harvey” learns how to grow in his relationship with Jesus. By reading the Bible, “God’s book of directions,” he learns about the power of prayer. He enjoys learning about forgiveness, the “Bride of Christ,” the Church, and sharing God’s love with others!

Volume 3 – “Living In Christ”

In 8 DOWNLOADABLE Skit Packages, the children learn just what it means to live the new life as a Christian in their relationships with brothers, sisters, parents, bullies at school, and with their friends. They learn they don’t make these changes alone because God has sent His Holy Spirit to be their helper!

Volume 4 – “Parables of Jesus”

In 7 DOWNLOADABLE Skit Packages, Tina helps everyone understand that a parable is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning. Six of Christ’s parables are retold using situations with which today’s children can identify.

Volume 5 – “Prayer & Bible Study”

In 7 DOWNLOADABLE Skit Packages, the importance of prayer and studying the Bible are taught. The children discover that “No,” is an answer to prayer too. The children are challenged to have a “secret time” with God while reading the Bible, God’s inspired Word, and praying to Him.

Volume 6 – “The Fruit of The Spirit”

In 6 DOWNLOADABLE Skit Packages, the Holy Spirit is introduced, the character “Clem” becomes a Christian, and the “fruit,” or results, of the Holy Spirit’s presence in a Christian’s life (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, Goodness, and Self-control) are taught through a study of the Book of Acts.

Volume 7 – “Worshipping God”

In 6 Skit Packages, the awesome privilege of worshiping God is explained as something we can do in a variety of ways (singing, praying, tithing, etc.), no matter what happens in our lives. The character “Harvey” discovers that worshiping God is a lifestyle, and that his body is a “temple of the Holy Spirit.” This is a downloadable PDF file.

Volume 8 – “Beatitudes For Living”

In 5 Skit Packages, the Beatitudes are portrayed in real-life events at school and at home. The character “Harvey” learns that “peacemakers” truly are blessed and persecuted. He also discovers what it feels like to “hunger and thirst” for righteousness. The character “Zelda” learns much about being gentle and mourning. This is a downloadable PDF file.

Volume 9 – “God’s Timeless Wisdom”

In 7 Skit Packages, the children are exposed to God’s wisdom in the book of Proverbs. The characters study “God and man,” “wisdom,” “fools,” “sluggards,” “words,” “friends,” and “the family” while at a family camp. God’s wisdom is compared to our foolishness. The character “Zelda” becomes a Christian only after her selfish, foolish motives are exposed. Volume 10 – “Promises of God”

In 5 Skit Packages, the children experience the peace that comes when we understand what God has promised to those who live for Him, and trust Him. It all starts with Pastor Rufus’ cheerful mood after a funeral. The character “Tina” questions him about eternal life, answered prayer, forgiveness, and God’s presence.  This is a printed volume that will be shipped to you.

Volume 11 – “Befriending Jesus”

In 10 Skit Packages, the children enjoy getting to know the people whom Jesus befriended (Nicodemus, Zaccheus, Peter, and Saul/Paul). The children watch as the characters “Harvey,” “Tina,” and “Zelda” all come face-to-face with the same question that is asked of the children in the audience: “Am I a friend of Jesus?” This is a downloadable PDF file.

Volume 12 – “Firm Foundations”

In 8 Skit Packages, Old Testament heroes are highlighted. Each skit focuses on the trust and obedience that identified each hero’’s relationship with God, thus encouraging the children to build their lives on the firm foundations of trust in God and obedience of His commands. Volume 13 – “The Missionary”

In 9 Skit Packages, the children experience the events and lifestyle of a missionary as they watch the character “Clem,” and her family, go to the mission field. The “call,” the leaving, the home “support team,” the letters, coming home on “furlough,” and the joys and pains of missionary work all challenge the cast and children to actively serve God wherever God may lead them. In 9 Skit Packages, God’s design for a strong family is taught through the character “Zelda’s” emotional journey as she experiences her parents’ divorce.
