Rewind Skits provide a chance to “turn back the clock”
and make the right choice…

…this time promoting a healthy relationship, rather than settling for the mess in which the characters find themselves. Rewind Skits provides a humorous look at spiritual vs. worldly decision-making and the effects of those decisions on the Christian life.

A Rewind Skit contains very specific blocking motions and lead up to a wrong conclusion in which some spiritual principle has been violated. The characters freeze in position, the pastor approaches them and comments on the “error of their ways”; then, on his cue, the actors “rewind” the scene, doing all their blocking backwards, with fast music playing, until they end up where the scene started.

After they rewind, the actors do the scene again, using much of the same blocking; however, this time the dialogue reflects a renewed spirit in Christ, and the outcome is a testimony of the power of God to change the human heart.

    Good Deeds

In this “rewind skit” two, not-so-mature, elderly Christians claim “Papa” as a dependent on their taxes, although he has been dead for 20 years, and set up a sermon on sanctification vs. hypocrisy: living with integrity, not professing one thing and living another.
