In this “Skermon” (skit/sermon) one young woman tells her friend to “hand” her life over to God. Each finger represents one area: thumb=location; forefinger=purpose; middle finger= occupation; ring finger=a mate; and pinkie=passions. The pastor interrupts half way through as the action freezes.

Description
In this “Skermon” (skit/sermon) about discerning God’s will for one’s life, Heather encourages Tenley to “hand” her life over to God by teaching Tenley how to discern the will of God by using the fingers on her hand to remind her of five areas of surrender.
First, her thumb reminds her to let God show her where to live. Next, her pointer finger reminds her to love God with all of her heart, soul, mind, and strength and keep that the main direction of her life. Next, her middle finger reminds her to ask God to show her what career to enter. Next, her ring finger reminds her to ask God for his guidance regarding her commitment to a mate. Finally, the little finger reminds her to ask God to control her little passions, sins, and wants, for although they may seem small at the time, they effect one’s entire hand (life).
