• God promises answered prayer. While at the zoo, the characters learn that the zookeeper’s love and concern for the animals stops them from eating something that is not good for them. God knows what’s best for us, and that our prayers are sometimes answered with a “no.”
  • Zelda has trouble letting Tina work the "Sarah" puppet because Zelda made the puppet, and she doesn't want to give it up. After practicing the puppet show about the story of Abraham and Isaac, Zelda realizes that God requires our total commitment, and that we can love nothing more than we love God.
  • Pastor Rufus sends everyone on a "Creation Walk" to bring back something God made and something they think God did NOT make. He explains that God also made the raw materials that man uses to make things.   • Harvey is faced with a problem: what to do to cheer up his friend, Mike, whose grandma just passed away. Pastor Rufus tells Harvey about sharing the good news of Jesus. He challenges Harvey to give Mike a gift that costs more than we can imagine, will cure his loneliness, and give him eternal life to look forward to through the gift of salvation.
  • Harvey cannot “run away” from the love of Pastor Rufus, even after he is responsible for all of Pastor Rufus’ power tools being stolen.  Pastor Rufus forgives Harvey and celebrates Harvey's return home. Tina gets jealous. Both Tina and Harvey learn to celebrate God’s continual love, just like they enjoy Pastor Rufus’ love, no matter who ran away, or who stayed home.
  • Harvey cannot “run away” from the love of his father, even after he is responsible for all of his dad's (Pastor Rufus) power tools are stolen.  Harvey begs his dad’s forgiveness, and Pastor Rufus, cancels Harvey’s debt for breaking the church’s stained-glass window.  Tina gets jealous because she still must work off her debt for breaking Harvey’s skateboard.  Bonnie tells them the Parable of The Prodigal Son, and Tina and Harvey learn to celebrate God’s continual love.
