• The missionary support team is a vital part of a missionary's life.  In this skit package, Harvey, Zelda, Tina, and Pastor Rufus all become part of Clem’s support team in the areas of fund raising, newsletter writing, and prayer. Tina gets discouraged because she feels too young to do anything.   Finally, Tina discovers that she is not to young to pray. Pastor Rufus celebrates all of them for being a great support team for Clem, especially Tina whose prayers were answered.
  •  The characters learn some of the interesting and varied things that a missionary does on the mission field. They discover that God wants the best they can give to Him. They also learn what the "call to the mission field" means.
  • After a power-outage, Pastor Rufus explains that the Holy Spirit is the third part of God that gives believers the power to live victorious Christian lives. Clem becomes a Christian and learns that the Holy Spirit will help her produce "fruit" (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, goodness, and self-control) that will show others that she is a Christian.
  • The use of words is critical to God. The characters struggle with words that hurt.  Pastor Rufus explains that their feelings about the dangerous effects of words are God's feelings that He expresses in Proverbs.  After the characters realize what has happened with their use of words, they apologize and make up.
  • We are all missionaries. Tina confirms her own commitment to Jesus and asks God for help as she witnesses to Sarah. She is triumphant when she is finally able to share her faith with Sarah. Tina learns the steps involved in leading a person to Christ and she creates "Tina's Tips For Witnessing" that are handed out to every child.
  • What is a missionary and what does a missionary do to tell others about God?  In this skit package, the children also learn what happens when a missionary comes home on furlough. Tina is confused at first, but then becomes very curious.
  • "Where shall I go?" is such a good question to ask God. There are so many ways a person who lives the missionary life can be used. In this skit, Clem and her family consider this big question.  After some enjoyable suggestions, Clem tells them that she wants to help care for needy children in Africa.
  • The characters experience the fact that gratefulness is the foundational motivation for worshiping God.  In this Skit Package, special emphasis is placed on singing as a form of worship.
  • Jesus spoke in parables. In this DOWNLOADABLE first Skit Package, the children discover that parables are simple stories that explain complex truths.   When Zelda is put on restriction for lying, she has a hard time understanding her mom’s complicated note, but when Bonnie, Harvey and Tina’s mom, tells Zelda the story of “The Girl Who Cried Wolf,” Zelda realizes the importance of telling the truth. Pastor Rufus helps them all understand that Jesus’ parables are “earthly stories with Heavenly meanings.”

  • In this Skit Package, Harvey and Tina's family experience "bad" things. Harvey doesn't get picked to be on the baseball team; Tina gets very sick; the family can't pay their bills; their car breaks, and their dad loses his job.  Dad shares a message of hope from the scriptures and tells the family to worship God even during “bad” times.
  • Giving God our tithes and offerings is very personal.  Pastor Rufus helps the children understand the concept of giving gifts "from your heart to the Lord" is a great way to worship God.
