Caring for the needs of others is at the heart of the missionary life. Tina tries to "be a missionary" to a girl names Sarah who is hungry and needs shoes. Only after Tina gives Sarah her shoes is Sarah interested in learning more about Jesus. Tina learns that Jesus is our example in feeding the hungry and healing the sick.

Jesus befriends Paul. On a church outing to the mountains, Horace, the boy who only comes to fun events, gets hurt and is helped by the characters and Pastor Rufus. Horace expresses an interest in knowing more about Jesus. Horace, like Paul, the Apostle, learns it is never too late to accept God’s love and forgiveness.

Through a study of the book of Acts, the children are introduced to the ministry of the Holy Spirit as He empowers the life of the believer. Clem becomes a Christian, and the “fruit,” or results, of the Holy Spirit’s presence in her life, provides opportunities for the children to learn what it means to have “Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, Goodness, and Self-control” in our daily lives.
