Skits In this Volume

  • Skit Package 1: “The Body Of Christ” (1 Corinthians 12: 25-27; Romans 12: 15)

When Zelda’s parents fight, she can’t stand the fact that Tina and Harvey fight, too. The others learn to support her and care about her as a member of the Body of Christ.

  • Skit Package 2: “The Joy Of The Lord” (John 15: 11; John 14: 2, 3; John 16: 33)

Everybody tries to cheer Zelda up with outings and gifts, but all that fades away. Pastor Rufus shares the joy of the Lord with her. Keeping your eyes on Jesus is the only thing that can comfort you in times of trouble.

  • Skit Package 3: “The Steadfast Love Of The Lord Never Fails” (John 14: 16-18; Hebrews 13: 5. 6; Psalm 139: 7-12)

When Zelda’s parents separate, she wonders if God will leave her too. She learns that no matter what happens, God will never leave you or forsake you.

  • Skit Package 4: “Spiritual Warfare” (James 1: 13, 14; Proverbs 3: 6)

When Zelda’s parents get a divorce, she is tempted to get very angry with God for not stopping it from happening. She learns that we cannot blame God for what people choose to do. We must be very careful to chose to follow Him if we want our lives to be a success.

  • Skit Package 5: “All Things Work Together For Good” (Romans 8: 28)

Harvey and Tina learn that no matter how uncomfortable things get, there is usually something good about it if we will trust God. Sometimes living as a family is hard, but we must always trust God to show us the bright side of our difficulties.

  • Skit Package 6: “Do Not Return Evil For Evil” (Matthew 5: 43, 44; 1 Corinthians 13: 4-6)

It is very tempting for us to want to hurt the people who hurt us; but in a family, that is the wrong thing to do. God’s Agape love is explained here as the only hope for today’s families.

  • Skit Package 7: “Speak The Truth In Love” (Ephesians 4: 15)

It is so important that families learn to communicate with each other. In this skit, Tina hides her problem and, as a result, everyone misunderstands her needs. Learning to share you feelings honestly is important.

  • Skit Package 8: “Consider Others More Important Than Yourself” (Philippians 2: 3-5)

Tina learns the importance of sacrificing for her brother Harvey so he can win the newspaper drive. Learning to sacrifice in a family is a key to keeping a family together and strong.

  • Skit Package 9: “Zeldarella – God Likes Work!” (Colossians 3: 23, 24; 2 Thessalonians 3: 10)

Poor Zelda is so overworked, or at least she thinks so! She learns that chores are something to be shared in a family, and a secret to family living is cooperation and respect for the needs of others.
