The parables of Jesus are highlighted through real-life situations in the skits that mirror the conflicts and settings of the original parable. Each lesson suggests a snack with the “best part in the middle,” like corndogs, Twinkies, cupcakes, etc., to help make the point that you have to dig for the “best part” the lesson inside Jesus’ parables.

Description
The parables of Jesus are powerful lessons from Jesus about how to live the Christian life. In this volume of 7 Skit Packages, children will learn why Jesus spoke in parables, and they will experience real-life situations that mirror the conflicts and settings of the original parables. In the middle of each skit, Rufus reads the parable directly from the Bible. Each lesson suggests a snack with the “best part in the middle,” like corndogs, Twinkies, cupcakes, etc., to help make the point that you have to dig for the “best part” of the lesson in each of Jesus’ parables.
The parables of Jesus highlighted in this volume are: “The Sower” (the children are encouraged to plant the “seed” of God’s Word in their hearts and multiply God’s truth in their lives); “The Good Samaritan” (the children are challenged to help others); “The Unmerciful Servant” (the children are challenged to forgive others just as they have been forgiven by God); “Lazarus and the Rich Man” (the children are challenged to share what they have with others); “The Wise and Foolish Builders” (the children are challenged to apply God’s Word in their lives); “The Prodigal Son” (the children are challenged to confess their sins and to repent).
