Choral Reading is literature in vocal dimension!
Christian Choral Reading uses multiple voices to interpret literature, thus giving it dimension that a single-voiced oral interpretation cannot give.
The literature is divided into two parts: “phonal” (dominant voices, usually male or group voices) “anti-phonal” (recessive voices, usually female or single voices)
The contrast of these sounds in alternating lines of literature is very captivating. Arrange your readers, using levels, rows, a semi-circle, or a choir formation.
Christian Choral Reading provides a very memorable introduction, conclusion, or mid-way example for the pastor as he presents the sermon. It is particularly effective as a way to present the scripture reading. It gives your drama ministry a first-hand opportunity to link with the pastor to create a sermon illustration that will compliment any topical or expository sermon.
